The permission to perform such activity is valid until August 1, 2004. Absolut Bank has set the maximum limit for a single banking guarantee at US $5 million and the maximum total sum of all valid guarantees at US $25 million.

Currently, Absolut Bank can guarantee fulfillment of the following obligations by foreign trade participants to customs bodies:

Importers' obligations to customs bodies concerning goods subject to mandatory marking by excise tax labels (in accordance with the Customs Committee's letter #01-06/1990 issued on January 31, 2000).

Obligations of customs warehouses' owners concerning goods kept at those warehouses (in accordance with the Customs Committee's letter #01-06/4459 issued on February 5, 2001).
