The Executive Committee of KBC Group NV and the Board of Directors of CBC Banque have submitted the nomination of Mr Daniel Falque to the Belgian Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission (CBFA) as successor to Mr Christian Deleu, CEO of CBC Banque.
The CBFA has now approved this nomination and, therefore, Mr Falque will take up the post of Managing Director of the Executive Committee of CBC Banque on 1 March 2009, and will succeed Mr Deleu as President of the Executive Committee on 1 July 2009.
Born on 8 December 1963, Daniel Falque graduated from the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Science at the Universite Catholique de Louvain in 1989. After starting his career at the Belgian insurer, La Patriotique (now ING Insurance), he joined Deutsche Bank Belgium in 1991 and was promoted to the ranks of senior management in 2001. At the end of 2004, he held an international position at this bank, where – in his capacity as Managing Director – he was responsible for Global Transaction Banking in Europe.
Daniel Falque is married with two children.
